A little about this blog & me
I started this blog to keep in touch with friends and family while I'm in Afghanistan. I use this blog to vent and explain (to others and myself) why I love Afghanistan so much.
I'm anonymous, so if you know my name - please don't use it. I've been told that only lame people are anonymous and this blog has turned out to be an open secret but it makes me feel better. Perhaps I'll come 'out' when/if I'm independently wealthy and I don't ever have to think about getting a job...

Nice song, I can imagine his songs are the background music to a generation's ears, it's a real shame we don't have more videos of him, beside the famous Laily jan, or that the national committee tasked with picking the national anthem did not pick one of his songs over what I heard is a rediculously forced and uninspiring piece...
It's true, I wish we had more videos of him. I imagine that his kids wish the same. I can't imagine why the nat'l committee didn't pick one of his songs, it wouldn't have been conventional but marvelously appropriate.
