Let's get back to more serious matters

I got my hair cut and colored and now I look like a Pashtun boy, ready to do the attan.

Stop laughing.

Sorry. Can't stop laughing. But if it makes you feel any better, I had a shoulder-length cut once, and it made me look strangely similar to that Fat Albert character with the mushroom hat.

too funny! Seriously.
u cut your hair- AGAIN? You do this ALL the time, and every time I go....do you know what great hair you have? sighhh, u should donate the hair. You know there really are places you can donate your locks. :-) When I cut my hair I got lots of: oh wow, you really DO look like your brother, well, except he's a little thinner. I resembled a bald black leprechaun - you know, the lack of height thing makes it harder to pull off.

you should check and see if this gives you better atan-dancin' skills.

no worries. hair grows!

(this is what I repeated to myself after my last haircut, which I got at a beauty school for $8.)

omg: that does make me feel better

hm: I DIDN'T MEAN FOR THEM TO CUT IT THIS SHORT! but it's not too bad. You're hilarious, by the way. Bald, black leprechaun

Leah: I will try to do the attan tonight and will let you know

Erin: It's not so bad when I straighten it...and your hair was cute when i saw it last...

Nah, don't bother. Just do it anyway.

Pictures. We need pictures. Once I got my haircut and was only supposed to get a trim, the guy cut off six inches of my hair. I wished a pox on his house. Don't know if it worked out. Hmm. Hair grows, but really, to complete the circle..pictures.

VP: Huh?

S: Homeslice, weren't you supposed to upload a whole lotta pictures on your blog?

I love how only girls are responding to this entry - we are all bonding over bad haircuts. It's actually okay when I straighten it...which will be hard to do in Kabul w/o electricity in the mornings.

Is that why I'm here? So you can straighten your hair in the mornings?...silly me.

I thought it was so kids can read and do their homework at night. Or you know, stay warm in the winter.

Silly me.

Q: It's true, that is why you're there...to make sure that i have pretty hair. Now get on it. The kids will make do with their lamps.

Got it..got it. And you want me to switch over this whole country to the same voltage/current as the US? Make sure your crimping iron works here?

Cause I can do that, you know.

Lovely idea Q.A. Can you take care of your neighbors, too? It'll make my visits to Indo-Pak so much prettier, too.

And Attan-girl, I agree with whomever said picture are needed. We demand pictures.

Miss Tex,
At first, i was thinking India and Pakistan would pull their usual shenanigans, trying to antagonize each other. Then I realized you may be on to something...maybe getting women to get their nations to agree to things based on vanity needs.

I'm too modest to show you my attan-perfect hair. perhaps I'll have another, more private website that has photos of myself...I know I'm not that great at the anonymous thing, but putting my picture on the 'net...too much. :D

World peace through flat-irons, I like it. Can Tyra Banks have a role in this?
