why is Charming Marble in a basket? Why aren't you holding him? Are kitties too delicate to hold?
What goes on those hooks in the background? did you clear off jackets and scarves so they wouldn't show up in the pic and compete with Mar Mar Makeez's beauty?
and, the baskets looks like the ones at Garden Ridge. Did you bring it from here?
Yay! Reunited and if feels so good...I'm back after a bit of an absense and catching up on your blog. Thanks for posting so much! take care of you and your little one
Man, I totally would have risen to the first-post challenge had I actually known that I had been challenged. Now I'm an entire day late. D'oh!
I like the kitty's name. She's so tiny! I bet she hopes that she's finally getting somewhere to stay for good. I hope you will both be very happy together. ;-)
She's gotten much bigger in the last week or two and much, much more active. I'm now looking forward to her being lazy and fat, as we have a tendency in our family to have obese cats (I can hear my mom saying, "The cat is not fat, he just has a lot of hair!")
Erin: Mar Mar has discovered the curtains. She jumps on them and swings back and forth until she can't hold on anymore. It's quite cute.
oooh. mar mar makeez! what a splendid name!!! she'll get good and chubby soon, i'm sure. i doubt, however, that she'll ever get as chubby as my Snuffer and Little One. You should have heard the neighbor's peel of laughter when I told her my plump little kitty's name was Little One...
I love her name! I wish I were as creative and thoughtful as that...we named our little kitten in Pakistan "chohtu" meaning small :) My sister and I fell in love with her instantly. She came with a mom and they decided to call the backyard their home. Through caring for the two of them for two weeks, we found out that sometimes when mama cat is licking baby kitten, it's to help with the bowel movements!
I started this blog to keep in touch with friends and family while I'm in Afghanistan. I use this blog to vent and explain (to others and myself) why I love Afghanistan so much.
I'm anonymous, so if you know my name - please don't use it. I've been told that only lame people are anonymous and this blog has turned out to be an open secret but it makes me feel better. Perhaps I'll come 'out' when/if I'm independently wealthy and I don't ever have to think about getting a job...

Mar Mar is a girl and I don't know why she's in her basket. The picture was taken in our hallway and I guess it's just a photo op. ;)
I don't think anything goes on those hooks, or haven't noticed anything yet.
The basket is from Chelsea Supermarket...
