Stressful day v.2

Uff, one of my favorite cousins is sick and we're all very worried about him. I wrote up another blog post yesterday but deleted it. Actually, I woke up at 3 am, in a panic, because I realized that I disclosed stuff that other family members don't know yet (and how terrible would it be for them to learn through the internet). I called my brother in the U.S. and asked him to delete the post. So, any family members wanting the inside scoop, shoot me an email.

I also complained and whined so it's just as well that I deleted that previous post.

I'm going to India tomorrow (Inshallah) and I'm super duper excited. I'm going to get my thyroid checked out and BUY FABRIC. I'm looking forward to sleeping in and de-stressing. I'll catch y'all next week!

Hi. Sorry to hear about your cousin. Hope he's better soon.

India?! That sounds exciting. I hope you have a wonderful time. Yes, sleep and buy fabric. Maybe you'll get the same cab driver that KBC5 had, and you can learn about the special powers of the livestock.

Have a safe trip!

special powers of the livestock? :)

buying fabric sounds lovely. have a wonderful trip and maybe even buy yourself a sari! if you do, have them make your blouse and petticoat and put a "belt" on the sari so you don't have to tie it yourself. they will know what that means.

Have a safe trip to India and don't just buy fabrics, buy some outfits too. As ISL suggested, a sari.

I'm a bit of a traditionalist and don't believe in belts in saris, but it's up to you, since you'll be the one dressing yourself :)

imperial sugar land,

"special powers of the livestock? :)"

That would be another inside joke. Which home in kabul may or may not remember. Which makes it a really deep inside joke. :-)

Goood luck on the thyroid. I hate how everyone in Central Asia always thinks you have a thyroid problem because iodine deficiencies are just so common. Be sure you get iodine-fortified vitamins when you are there or everyone will attribute all other illnesses to your thyroid problems.

Enjoy the fabric shopping and be sure to get some done into pirhon-tumbons as well... not only saris.

Happy shopping. Happy relaxing. And please, for all of us not with you, happy eating ... mmm ...

Think of you often.

Thanks folks. Yeah, i dunno what it is but I'm kinda hoping that it is a hyperthyroid, it'll explain the shaking.

Sleeping In? maybe you shouldn't have taken the damat and khushoo with you then. :)
