A little about this blog & me
I started this blog to keep in touch with friends and family while I'm in Afghanistan. I use this blog to vent and explain (to others and myself) why I love Afghanistan so much.
I'm anonymous, so if you know my name - please don't use it. I've been told that only lame people are anonymous and this blog has turned out to be an open secret but it makes me feel better. Perhaps I'll come 'out' when/if I'm independently wealthy and I don't ever have to think about getting a job...

at first glance, i thought it said "SQUAD Massi" and I totally let my imagination run away with possibilities for what that meant. :)
Just bought some tracks of Souad Massi's "Honeysuckle" and "Raoui" albums on iTunes. "Mahli" and "Nekreh el Keld" -what a treat!
Thanks for the recommendation here at HIK (embarassing for a "Music of the World" college radio host to admit that though I had heard about Massi before, I actually listened to her music only after reading about it on your blog.)
